She shared the evening with Niña Pastori and José Mercé


The TV show that Lolita Flores successfully presents on Spanish public TV dedicated an episode to flamenco. It was an episode full of anecdotes and memories that arose from the conversation between Sara Baras, the singer Niña pastori and José Mercé.


Lolita reunited her guests in a warm and familiar environment in which, around a table presided by Lola Flores’ portrait, the audience got to know them a bit better.

Niña Pastori, José Mercé and Sara Baras shared secrets about their childhood, their families and anecdotes about the beginning of their artistic careers. They also shared interesting thoughts about the importance of flamenco in their lives and in spanish culture, as well as its international impact.

The three artists from Cadiz remembered with emotion and passion the importance of great “maestros” such as Paco de Lucía, Camarón, Carmen Amaya…Dancer and choreographer Sara Baras has just finished her successful national tour with “Voces”. This show honoured the talent of flamenco “maestros”.

Lolita surprised Sara Baras with the arrival of her husband,  also dancer José Serrano, that joined the conversation. So did Desiré Soto, Daughter of José Mercé, and the guitar player Keko Baldomero. There was time for emotion, but also for laughter, jokes, and of course dancing and singing.

In the end, “ Lolita tiene un plan” on TVE was a meeting point for great friends and great artists. With Lolita flores as an extraordinary host that was able to show in a natural and kind way, the special bond between these artists, so loved and admired by the public.

As every year, the city of Marbella was the chosen venue for Starlite Gala, an event promoted by Antonio Banderas and Sandra García Sanjuán’s foundations, that celebrated its 7th edition this year.

This evening event, that raises funds for different charity causes, recognizes each year a few people or entities that stand out over the average due to their implication in philanthropic work.

“Sara Baras. Todas las voces” will be screened internationally at festivals and movie theaters


Next August it will premiere in Japanese movie theaters


Since its first screening at the Festival de Málaga, the documentary feature “Sara Baras. Todas las voces”, directed by Rafa Molés and Pepe Andreu has been screend at various cinema festivals both nationally and internationally, winning the favor of the audience and being acknowledged by the critics.

Among all these screenings of the documentary feature that follows the dancer and choreographer through her personality and creative process, we can highlight its participation in the Spanish Film Festival of Australia or the 57th edition of the Krakow Film Festival.

“Sara Baras. Todas las voces” was awarded last month with the highest acknowledgment in the oficial section of the Festival Internacional DocsValencia, and given the “Miradas” award to the best documentary feature.

On the 18th of August it will premiere at Le Cinéma Bunkamura in Tokio and will be screened in movie theaters all over Japan; in Chiba, Yokohama, Osaka, Kobe, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Sendai, Sapporo, Shizuoka, Kioto and Okinawa.

The documentary feature stretches through the tour that presents “Voces” all over Spain, France, Mexico or the USA. “Sara Baras: Todas las voces” shows Sara Baras’ personality and her values, in contrast with such diverse societies. It also reveals the work and effort she shows putting this show together in three weeks and how the established can be modified through the voices we decide to listen to and follow.
