As every year, the city of Marbella was the chosen venue for Starlite Gala, an event promoted by Antonio Banderas and Sandra García Sanjuán’s foundations, that celebrated its 7th edition this year.
This evening event, that raises funds for different charity causes, recognizes each year a few people or entities that stand out over the average due to their implication in philanthropic work.
Sara Baras was one of the recipients of this honor, alonside the singer Miguel Poveda, actress Loles León, Chef Dani García y and football coach Diego Pablo Simeone.
This Starlite recognition to Sara Baras was because of her personal implication in causes ducha as “Vicente Ferrer” foundation, Madrid’s Down Syndrome Foundation, her support of Unicef and her special dedication and commitment as a Godmother to the “Mi Princesa Rett” Foundation.
Sara Baras received the award with great emotion, given by Niña Pastori and Paloma Cuevas.During her speech she reminded everyone that “helping others is not an obligation, but a privilege”, as she dedicated this honor to the families that work every day to overcome these difficulties and get more help towards research.
It was a night surrounded by emotions, in which she shared many special moments alongside the other recipients, specially with the hosts, Antonio Banderas and Sandra García Sanjuán.
Sara Baras, next to her partner and colleague, dancer José Serrano, show their support every summer attending this philanthropic event. An event that raises funds for different projects, like Cueca Foundation in Málaga, that takes care of those affected by cancer, muestran cada verano con su presencia el apoyo a esta cita solidaria. Un evento en el que se recaudan fondos para diferentes proyectos, Lágrimas y Favores Foundation that gives scholarships to students or Niños en Alegría Foundation, that supports education projects in México, among others.
This evening event, in which the fundraising broke records thanks to the donaciones and the active implication of the guests in the auction, ended with songs about hope performed by the argentinian singer Coti. Sara Baras danced as the finishing touch of this unforgettable, positive and philanthropic evening.
