Sara Baras was awarded by HM King Felipe VI the accreditation as an Honorary Ambassador for “Marca España”.
At the 7th edition of these awards, whose aim is to “publicly acknowledge the people, enterprises or institutions that, with their career path, have contributed to strenghten a positive image of Spain abroad”.
At this ceremony hosted by the King and Queen of Spain celebrated in March, Sara Baras was chosen to address the attendants in her own behalf and of the other Honorary Ambassadors acknowledged in this edition.
Alongside Sara Baras, that represented the Culture and Communication area, the other recipients of the Honorary Ambassador award were: Francisco Martínez Cosentino (Corporate Management), Andrés Iniesta (Sports), Gabriel Escarrer (Tourism and Gastronomy), Real Instituto Elcano (Institutional Relations), Obra Social “La Caixa” (Social Action) and Juan Ignacio Cirac (Science and Innovation).

Her speech, imbued with emotion, highlighted the responsibility and pride that this acknowledgement represents. Sara Baras concluded pointing out that being an Honorary Ambassador for “Marca España” “made her want to dance more, and more from the heart”.
Flamenco, as she stated, makes us unique and is recognised in every country in the world, where they admire it as a substancial part of our culture.
