SYNOPSIS
“Sabores” is a play with no nuanced plot, where we are able to taste the different subtleties of flamenco, coloring every feeling. Musical numbers alternate with dancing resulting not only in a growth in the variety of styles, but also in the risk taken by artists.
“Sabores” takes us on a journey, during one and a half hours, through the different sides of flamenco, trying to give character to every number. We can find tangos, seguiriya, zambra, alegrías, taranto, tanguillos, jaleos, martinete y soleá por bulerías… in a palette of flavours. “Sabores” interprets tradition through the modern feelings, blurring the lines of rhythmic and melodic borders, blending flamenco sensations with the colours of dance.
Its minimalistic scenography attracts attention to colour. The costume design represents a contemporary flamenco ballet, highlighting the formal simplicity of the dancers attire and the colours that change according to each type of flamenco.
